The National Council for Teacher Education was vested with statutory authority for achieving planned
and - coordinated development of the Teacher Education System through out the country,' the regulation and standards in the Teacher Education system and for matters connected there with. In this Connection, NCTE has formulated norms and standards for all the colleges of Education and gave provisional recognition to our institution also. After getting the provisional recognition from the NCTE our college Dr. C. L. Naidu College of Education has been established in the year 2003 under the Management of Sri Kota Durga Educational Society, Palakonda. The Management has constructed a building of its own with all the facilities. The college Management has started the B.Ed Course in the year 2003 with the following objectives:
1. To possess sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge of Teaching Competencies.
2. To develop Skills, Understandings, Interests and Attitudes, which would enable the student
teachers to foster, all round growth and development of the children under his/her care.
3. Be enabled to foster creative thinking among pupils for the reconstruction of the knowledge.
4. To develop communication skills and to use modern information technology, and
5. To foster a desire for life - long learning.
Keeping in view the above objectives, Seven batches have gone successfully from the College. From the beginning the college attained good results with high number if passes. In the Academic year 2008 – 2009 the College has got two awards Best College of Education and Best Student Teacher in the Contest The Best Integration of Technology in Education conducted by Intel and APSCHE.
During the training programme we are striving to give qualitative teacher education. We are making our student teachers to take part in not only academic activities but also we made our students to participate in the co - curricular activities. Our students have participated and won the prizes in the various competitions held by the Dept. of Police on the Police Commemoration Day. Our student B Praveen won the 1st prize in elocution at the Palakonda Division Level.
As part of our Teacher Education Programme in the academic year 2003 - 04 we have conducted rally to promote awareness among the people about the danger and prohibition on use of Non - Licensed Preparation of Crackers. In the academic year 2004 - 05 our students have participated in the Aasha Programme. Our faculty members have been trained as Nodal Lecturers for the TALK - AIDS Programme.
With the immense Co - operation of the management, Teaching & Non Teaching staff of the College we are striving to develop Competent Teachers as the Pillars of our Society.
